Frequently asked

Is there a monthly fee or subscription?

No. Gelatin is free to join and free to browse. You pay only when something happens: a flat $7 fee when a booking is made, or 5% of ticket sales when you sell tickets to your own event.

What does it cost to sell tickets to my event?

A flat 5% of ticket sales. Your buyers pay face value plus card processing — no service fee stacked on at checkout. Free events cost nothing to run.

How much does a DJ keep?

100%. DJs keep their full negotiated fee. Gelatin never takes a cut of the DJ's pay — the $7 fee is paid by the venue.

When does a DJ get paid?

Your fee is held in escrow and released after the set, once you've checked in. Payouts are free — Gelatin never deducts anything from your fee.

What about late check-in?

A $5 fee applies only if a DJ checks in more than 15 minutes after the set start — it keeps events running on time.

What does the venue pay?

The agreed DJ fee, plus a flat $7 booking fee and standard card processing, charged at booking and held in escrow. Cancel before the cutoff for a full refund.
