Attendee head counts are aggregate
Verified Draw is a count of people at an event — we aim to collect it as an aggregate number, not the personal identities of attendees. Patron Ratings are collected with the minimum information necessary and may be anonymous or pseudonymous.
3. How We Use Information
- Operate the marketplace: accounts, profiles, search, bookings, and messaging.
- Process payments, escrow, and payouts (via Stripe).
- Generate and display Verified Draw and Ratings.
- Provide support, security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution.
- Send transactional and (with choice) marketing communications.
- Improve and analyze the Platform.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. Legal Bases (where applicable)
Where required (e.g., EU/UK), we rely on: performance of a contract; legitimate interests (operating and securing the Platform); consent (e.g., marketing); and legal obligations.
7. SMS / Text Messaging
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, GelatinBookings sends account and booking text messages — such as booking requests and confirmations, urgent backup gig opportunities, day-of event reminders, payout notices, phone verification codes, and event RSVP updates. Message frequency varies based on your activity (for example, how many bookings and events you have). Message and data rates may apply.
We do not share your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with our SMS service provider (Twilio) solely to deliver the messages you asked for.
- Opt out any time by replying STOP to any message, or from your account settings.
- Reply HELP for help, or contact privacy@gelatinbookings.com.
- Opting out of texts does not affect essential account emails.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
- Account data: retained while your account is active.
- Booking and payment records: retained for up to 7 years to meet tax and financial-record obligations.
- Analytics data: anonymized at 90 days.
- Verified-event records may be retained to preserve the integrity of the draw history.
9. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit. Secrets and credentials are never stored in documents and are kept in a dedicated vault. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights & Choices
- Access, correct, delete, or export your information — contact privacy@gelatinbookings.com.
- Marketing opt-out — use the unsubscribe link in emails; transactional messages will still be sent.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of “sale”/“sharing”; we will not discriminate for exercising rights.
- EU/UK (GDPR): rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection; right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
We verify requests before acting and respond within the timeframes required by law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Platform is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you believe a child provided information, contact us to delete it.
12. Third-Party Links & Services
The Platform may link to third-party sites and services with their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for them; review their policies.
